More from Jonathan Harris today…He launches the project he has spent the last couple of years working on. Cowbird. It truly seems like the culmination of all the things he’s been talking about and working on as I’ve followed his travels the last few years.
His drive is inspiring and humbling. His work always feels like him…which is so rare in today’s world and he makes things that he truly believes in, not just things that he feels will get the most funding.
They are tools for all of us and Cowbird is no different. It gives everyone the chance to tell their story easily in a beautiful way. I can’t wait to start using it.

Balloons of Bhutan by Jonathan Harris
“It involved handing out balloons to 117 people, talking to them about happiness, asking them to make a wish, and then stringing up the wishes in a mountain pass”.

Have always loved this philosophy. No one is perfect. You shouldn’t listen to anyone tell you that you shouldn’t do something if you really want to give it a try. Its just up to you to do it. Go off on your own, do stuff, make mistakes, learn and try to do it better next time.

“Dance music is the new punk rock”
-Perry Farrell after Deadmau5 show at Lollapolooza 2011.
I’m not sure the metaphor is just right…but after going to check out this show in October, you can’t argue the energy of this scene is exploding. 6 sold out nights at Roseland Ballroom at an average of $100 a ticket certainly tells a tale. One of more impressive “shows” I’ve seen. Tron meets U2.

But his masterpiece, a handwritten, 25,000 word, multi-dialect dictionary containing the oldest and most obscure words in the Romani language remains largely unknown. Seeing the trip to Paris as an opportunity to have the dictionary published, he gathers up the amassed pages of his life’s work and heads to France to save the legacy of the dying Romani language.
