Our greatest rock star

In my personal opinion, Jack White is our greatest rock star.  And by “our”, I mean America and also anyone from 25-35.  He has the knack for staying true to himself, lives in Nashville (music city USA) because he doesn’t need to live anywhere else and can concentrate on his work there, is a master collaborator and always elevates those around him to greater heights (re: Meg, Raconteurs, Brendan Benson, Dead Weather, Loretta Lynn etc).

Add to that he is one of the most prolific musicians working today and a vicious live performer and there you have it.  Of course you don’t have your hand in so many projects without becoming a bit of a mogul, so not surprisingly there’s an article about that very fact in the Wall Street Journal today.  Its worth a read and there’s a decent video and interactive piece.
