Brussels
Very impressed with Brussels. I haven’t been here since traveling through for two days on a trip the summer prior to graduating college. The airport is nearly indiscernible from an American airport. All the ads are in English, the signs lead with English, cars are displayed with video terminals speaking in English, there is a gleaming Starbucks and your typical “brew-pub”.
It markets itself as a gateway to Europe and from my brief sense of it, they are certainly making it comfortable for American business people. The city itself is as beautiful as I remember it and I’m looking forward to exploring a little more in the next two days.
