Never post animated gifs…and I don’t know her…but this seems to tell such a great story about Cobie Smulders through the combined frames…beautiful, classy, self depracating and easy with a laugh.

Cool behind the scenes piece on Monday Night Football. Mike Tirico is gracious and complimentary to the huge staff behind the scenes that makes that show happen.
Truly. Watch the video to experience this live. This kinda reaction just sums alot of this whole movement up. Its a “you’ve gotta be kidding me” moment.

Great screencap or greatest screencap?
Greatest. Ever.
Curb is back!
Its not very funny but you could see this working with animation today. Reminded me of the conversations I had with some good friends this past weekend who are working on an animated show with a great concept and getting ready to pitch their pilot.

Fun Fact of the Day: In the late 1960s, Jim Henson and cartoonist Johnny Hart teamed up to produce a pilot for a television series based on Hart’s and Brant Parker now-classic comic strip The Wizard of Id.
According to the Henson Company blog, the response was positive, but by the time ABC made the decision to take the project forward, Henson had already moved on to work on a little children’s program called Sesame Street.

Dear Oprah,
I just watched the video of you touring a typical Danish home.
Your reaction of everything being the “whole bathroom” or the “whole bedroom”, and your astonishment that a family could live in this space, is part of the problem with our beautiful country. Its the reason the American suburbs, filled with isolated McMansions where everyone desires a 2000 sq ft bathroom, are seen as positive and not negative.
Hopefully this trip to a place where happiness is driven by things like people “spending time with each other” and “riding bikes” will effect you in a positive way and you will open the minds of your viewers. Thanks so much.
Love,
Matt
p.s. sorry to use so many ” “.
For some reason the word “futurific” comes to mind.

Fareed Zakaria absolutely rules this guy.

Fareed Zakaria interviews the only Iranian allowed on his show from inside Iran, Tehran University Professor Mohammed Morandi, and calls his ideas of western meddling in the protests, “ludicrous”. “You are nothing but a mouthpiece for the regime”.
I have to disagree with you here Jake. If anything, the barrage of glowing rectangles has made my personal relationships, the times I spend talking face to face, listening to a band live, shooting a basketball, the pleasure of a spontaneous contagious laugh or a hug…more valuable, more rewarding and more important.
via jakelodwick:
A reason for socializing is to exchange information so each brain can be refueled with the latest environmental data.
But now we get so much of that same information from the feeds on our rectangles.
Therefore, ‘hanging out with a bunch of people’ is more likely to be a waste of time.
In your world, has ‘hanging out with a bunch of people’ changed in the past few years?
Brilliant and hopefully funny. Its creating huge word-of-mouth online for Jimmy Fallon’s show tonight.
