Great video about the ACE Hotel work done by my friend Chris Rubino. Huge talent and no nicer guy out there. I’ve always been impressed by Chris’s skill at collaboration whether its with another artist or in the more traditional “commission” sense with a brand like the ACE.

So much young talent in one video. This makes you ask yourself the f&*% you were doin on college. Meanwhile, this kid put together a collaboration with his talented classmates that would make any professional artist proud.
He talks of recession and depression. I can only hope this is the kind of stuff we’ll see as a by-product of these tough times. His name is Nyle and I would keep an eye out. A&R…act fast.

PHTHRD III is tonight. This event is the last of our 08/09 season and I’m excited about the direction we took with it. LVHRD has always been about trying to amplify the interaction of attendees at our events. Whether or not we acheive that all the time is a different story, but that is a calculated intention with many of our past concepts. The idea of everyone coming together to help set a world record for the most photographed party is one that I think aligns perfectly with LVHRD’s sense of community, playfullness and creativity. Thankfully something like the Universal Record Database exists to make the whole thing seem that much more legitimate.
